Ahead of St Louis City SC's clash against the Chicago Fire at CITYPARK, multiple players for the hosts are battling injuries and with a heavier week ahead of matches, who is and who isn't ready to be brought into the squad is a topic of interest.

Here are the players for City SC who have been battling injuries as of recent that could have the possibility of featuring in today's match and players who are still currently unavailable due to their injuries.

Eduard Löwen — A hamstring injury sidelined Löwen for the last two matches and in his last performance on Mar. 9, he was batting the injury. An unnamed family emergency has also contributed to his absence. He has trained with the team this week and an absence against Chicago doesn't automatically mean the same outcome for the match against LAFC the following Wednesday.

Njabulo Blom — The hamstring injury has also kept midfielder Njabulo Blom out since April 6. When speaking on Blom and Lowen, City SC manager Bradley Carnell said they are "Inching ever so closer," leading up to the match this week. What Blom's role will be in the match is still unclear.

Joakim Nilsson —— A broken rib injury has kept Nilsson's appearances brief the past two months, with his eight minutes against Houston last week the most minutes he's played since his full 90 minutes against DC United on Mar. 23. In my opinion, the most likely candidate to start against Chicago.

Josh Yaro—— Last appearance was on April 4th against Dallas. Has spent now the last three matches on the sideline with a hamstring injury and the total will rise to four with Yaro being officially ruled out for the match against Chicago according to the MLS injury report.
